Immediate breast reconstruction can be done at the same time as Mastectomy. Depending on your treatment, this may not be possible if you require radiation or chemotherapy treatments. Some surgeons advise patients to wait until radiation and chemotherapy are completed before proceeding with reconstruction. This might take about 6 to 12 months after Mastectomy.
