It is important not to consume alcohol before undergoing breast augmentation surgery as there is a possible cause of complications during surgery, affecting the final results.
As for post breast augmentation surgery, you should avoid alcohol for at least one to two weeks until you are off any pain medication. Alcohol can prolong the recovery process causing swelling and vasodilation which can lead to additional complications. You should consult your surgeon to determine when it is safe for you to consume alcohol again.
